The SOE Embassy Legal System (E.L.S.) is broken into two (2) Divisions: Hearing & Judgement Division; Investigation, Evidence & Disciplinary Action Division, both of which fall under the direction of a respective Division Director

The E.L.S. Process:

In order to file an official E.L.S. claim against a person(s), or legal entity, in the SOE Global Network, the first point of contact is the Investigation, Evidence & Disciplinary Action (I.E.D.) Division of the E.L.S. Officers in the I.E.D. Division, fall under the direction of an I.E.D. Division Director, and all E.L.S. Officers in the I.E.D. Division have backgrounds in Security & Defense fields, like: Law Enforcement; Private Physical, and/or Digital, Security; and Military.

Once claims are filed against a person(s), or legal entity, I.E.D. opens an E.L.S. Investigation, and begins looking for, and gathering, evidence to support the filed claims. If sufficient evidence in support of the claims is found, the party against whom the claims were made will be charged with wrong-doing, and an official E.L.S. Case is opened.

E.L.S. Cases, which may, or may not, require legal courtroom hearings, are passed from the I.E.D. Division to the first Department of the Hearing & Judgement Division (H.J.D.), the Legal Department, which is comprised of legal aides, and council, and has its own Division Director. The second department of the H.J.D. is the E.L.S. Disciplinary Board Department, which falls under the direction of a Disciplinary Board Director (D.B.D.).  A Disciplinary Board Member (D.B.M.) is a Level II SOE Diplomat, who is either an SOE Security Commissioner, or an SOE Ethics Counsellor.

When presented with an E.L.S. Case, the assigned Disciplinary Board examines the evidence, and hears the arguments being presented by legal council - for both the Plaintiff(s), which could be E.L.S. itself, and the Defendant(s) - and comes to a judgement as to the guilt, and subsequent punishment, or innocence, of the Defendant(s).

Once a judgement has been made, the E.L.S. Case goes back to the Investigation, Evidence & Disciplinary Action (I.E.D.) Divisionwho will close the case according to the ruling. If the Defendant(s) is/are found guilty, the I.E.D. Division will enforce the, previously-determined by the H.J.D., disciplinary action on the guilty party(ies).
