SOE Global Network Detention Centres
SOE Global Network Detention Centres are completely off-grid, gender-neutral, housing facilities, which have their own fully equipped Hospitals, Crematoriums, and commercial Kitchens.
After sentencing, prisoners brought into the Detention Centre are taken to the In-Mate Housing Division. Once there, In-Mates are registered, and given their Detention Centre-Attire, before being taken to their Cube Block, and into their Holding Cube. SOE Global Network Detention Centres In-Mates’ weekly Basic Living Currency payments go to the Detention Centre in the form of SOE Community Causes, which covers the cost of In-Mate essentials, facility maintenance, and staff.
Imprisonment is meant to be the most severe version of a “time-out”. And traditionally, during a time-out, all in the vicinity were prohibited from interacting with those actively carrying out a time-out-sentence. Which is why in most prisons, even today, Solitary Confinement is still the most severe form of punishment for unruly inmates.
Reserving isolation-as-punishment for extreme circumstances is why many facing imprisonment are less afraid of the thought of being locked up, and down-right terrified at the thought of being locked up with other prisoners. With the true purpose of imprisonment – a.k.a. “adult time-out” - being rehabilitation, all In-Mates at SOE Global Network Detention Centres are, technically, in Solitary Confinement throughout the entirety of their imprisonment.
SOE Global Network Detention Centre In-Mates do not ever come into physical contact with another human being - save medical staff, if medical attention is required - since all In-Mate Visitor Calls are telephone/video-calls from vetted, and registered, family, friends, and legal counsel.
In-Mate Visitor Calls only work one-way, since Holding Cubes only have the ability to receive calls – not make calls. In fact, SOE Global Network Detention Centre In-Mates do not ever hear human voices apart from their telephone/video-calls, because all on-site communications to In-Mates, are timed, computer-generated voice announcements.
For example, the phrase "Lights Out." will automatically play through the speakers in all Holding Cubes, at 9pm each night, before the lights in each cube are automatically turned-off. Similarly, any, and all, verbal communication from E.L.S. Detention Officers to In-Mates, come through the speakers in the Holding Cubes, in the form of a text-to-speech computer-generated voice.

Holding Cubes are also Microphone-enabled, and wired with both visible, and hidden, Cameras – for E.L.S. Detention Officer monitoring.

Water from showers and sinks in Holding Cubes are on timers, and can be set to flow freely at all times, or can be limited, and used as another form of punishment – if necessary. Removing In-Mates’ Video-call Privileges, and limiting communications to audio/telephone calls for set periods of time, is also a form of In-Mate punishment – used if necessary.
Once an In-Mate has completed a, pre-determined-at-the-time-of-sentencing, Period of Solitude, during which they receive no communications, of any kind, then Rehabilitation - which is vital for re-entry into society - can begin. As part of the SOE Global Network Detention Centre Rehabilitation Program, In-mates receive daily Virtual Video Therapy Sessions, via the retractable Monitors in their Holding Cubes - or Virtual Telephone Therapy Sessions through the Speakers in their Holding Cubes, in the case of temporary revocation of Video-call Privileges. Other mandatory components of the Rehabilitation Program include Virtual Video/Tele- phone Rehabilitation, and Education, Classes.
